The Healthy Schools Online Program is a 10 week course that aligns with the Australian Curriculum Outcomes and Standards for Health for Years 7-8. This course is designed by teachers for teachers and includes 10 lesson plans, all assessment materials, teacher and student workbooks, cross curricula planning and suggestions, and take home resources to encourage an immersive learning experience. Topics covered include: The difference between wholefoods and heavily processed foods What are the 3 macronutrients and how to get a balance of them using wholefood ingredients How to read food labels Comparing food products and making healthy food choices based off of nutritional information Healthy swaps and alternatives to highly processed foods Seeing beyond the clever marketing of foods The effect of food choices on mental health How to eat to support good mental health and wellbeing How to create healthy, wholefood based, delicious recipes
